Tim and Thomas travel around the world and meet complete strangers who want to show them what life is really like in their cities. It could be magic. It could be a disaster. But it’s the only way they want to travel.
Young travelers don’t look for guidebooks or gift shops to help discover a new city. We look for adventure. And a little mischief.
Every week we find a stranger to give us their take on their town. Together, we film everything — and we don’t say “no” to anything. We talk, curse, play, eat, drink, dance, cause trouble, meet friends, enemies, family and lovers. We share the adventures of a lifetime, all on our subject’s home turf.
This is my City is a show about what cities mean to the people who live in them, brought to you in the most personal way. It’s not about seeing the sights, it’s about seeing the soul.
Season one of This Is My City will consist of eight shows covering Lisbon, Berlin, Belgrade, Beirut, Beijing, Tokyo, Melbourne and Wellington all from the unique perspectives of local characters.
